Infant & Pregnancy Loss Support Group

Infant & Pregnancy Loss Support Group

When: Every SECOND Tuesday of the month

Where: North Alabama Medical Center, 3rd Floor Education Room

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Created to provide support for new mothers as they transition from pregnancy into parents, this class will discuss ways to enhance mental and emotional health in the first 12 weeks after delivery (the "fourth trimester"). Planning for this time period is as important as planning for labor and delivery, and is open to women in their third trimester of pregnancy and up to 12 weeks after delivery. We will discuss ways to maximize your emotional health & wellness, bonding with your baby, how to ask for help, and ways to adjust to your new life as a mother.

Losing a baby can be an incredibly painful & isolating experience. This monthly group brings together women who truly understand, because they've been there too. Join us for a free, guided support group where your grief is understood and your story is held with care.

Together, we offer:

  • Compassionate, professional guidance from a licensed perinatal mental health–trained counselor
  • Connection with others who share similar experiences
  • A safe space to grieve, remember, and heal at your own pace

Open to those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, termination for medical reasons, or early infant death. Come as you are, share as much or as little as you'd like.
